The next step in the research project is for each group to summarize 20 articles (total per group, not individual). The articles you summarize must be from peer-reviewed academic journals. Trade journals, industry publications, and business magazines are not acceptable. You can use library databases. Business Source Complete is a good library database. I, personally, would begin my search at scholar.google.com. If the full text is not available on scholar.google, I would then see if it is available in the library. I prefer google scholar as my starting point in that I find the search technology superior, and it indexes articles from the vast majority of journals whereas a single library database provides access to the limited journals with which it has an agreement.

File Names

I suggest you begin the file name with your last name, then insert dash, then include the first author’s last name, insert dash, provide the second author’s last name, insert dash, and finally, provide the year the article was published. An example is provided below.

Research Summary Format

Citation: APA Format

Introduction: background of study, its purpose, and hypotheses or propositions

Procedures: sample frame, what was measured, how was it measured, analysis technique (you’re summarizing the methodology)

Findings: discuss the major findings and results

Conclusions: summarize the researchers’ conclusions

Limitations/Weaknesses: summarize the limitations or weaknesses of the article

I’d suggest you put the above information in a table. There would be two columns. The above information would be placed in the first column. The information you provide about the article would be placed in the second column
